Abandoned Sewage Silos in Amsterdam set for Repurposing?

Schmidt may become the new title for one of three old silos in Zeeburgereiland, Amsterdam, in memory of Ms. Annie M.G. Schmidt (1911-1995). An abandoned sewage tank may not be the most appropriate thing to name after a celebrated writer but soon this silo could be nostalgically covered in ivy and have a rooftop playground complete with a giraffe slide to commemorate Schmidt and her song ‘Dikkertje Dap’ (in which a boy slides down a giraffe).
